Applications Are Now Being Accepted for the 2012 Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe)
The Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe) aims to provide early-career oncologists in low and middle income countries the support and resources needed to advance their training by deepening their relationship with a mentor in the United States or Canada.
During a one-year Fellowship, the recipient will receive valuable training and experience, which they will use to effect change in cancer care in their home country. Fellowships are a combination of clinical training and clinical and laboratory research in accordance with institutional rules and regulations. Recipients are required to return to their home institutions after completing their Fellowship and disseminate the knowledge they have gained.

This award provides early-career oncologists from low and middle income countries the opportunity to advance their medical education by:
- Observing a clinical oncology practice in an academic center
- Participating in clinical training and research opportunities with their mentor
- Attending the 2012 ASCO Annual Meeting
