IV Congresso Internacional de Cuidados Paliativos (IV International Paliative Care Congress) - Brazil

IV Congresso Internacional de Cuidados Paliativos (IV International Paliative Care Congress). This is the most important Brazilian congress in Palliative Care. It will take place in the city of São Paulo, from 6 to 9 October 2010. The main theme is "Education and Palliative Care". Palliative Care is an important subject nowadays in our country. In the beginnig of 2010, Conselho Federal de Medicina (Medicine Federal Council) approved a new Mecical Ethics Code and, for the first time in our country, Palliative Care bacame an obligation for doctors an a right for the patients. It is a crucial and challenging moment in Brazil and the IV Congress will mirror and discuss these changes. The website is www.paliativo.org.br/congresso .
