African Palliative Care Association Conference, September 2007

On behalf of the African Palliative Care Association and the palliative care community in Africa as a whole, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 2nd APCA Palliative Care Conference to be held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Palliative care in Africa is a developing discipline and it has been exciting to see the growth on the provision of palliative care services over the past twenty years on the continent, and in particular over the past few years since the inception of the African Palliative Care Association.
