Announcement

Commonwealth Scholarship Commission

We are delighted to announce that for 2011 we have secured 15 Commonwealth scholarships for 2011 from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. These scholarships will pay full fees for students in India and neighbouring countries to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Palliative Medicine. The scholarship award also facilitates a team of tutors delivering the residential component of the teaching in Bangalore, India. The remainder of the course is delivered through distance e-learning with the final examination being conducted in Bangalore.

Applications for the course and the Commonwealth Scholarship need to be made before the deadline of MAY 30th 2011 .

Students will need to complete TWO electronic application forms ONE for each of the following

  1. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission - http://www.cscuk.org.uk/apply/eas.asp
  2. Cardiff University - http://www.cf.ac.uk/regis/general/applyonline/index.html

All applications can be done online – you will also need to have 2 supporting written references which can be faxed or scanned and uploaded.

The minimum requirement in English to be accepted for the course is a score of 6.5 in the IELTS test completed within the last 2 years.

Alternatively we may be able to accept verification from a professional referee regarding your English Language if you have previously completed professional qualifications in English and/or practice clinically using English. These references MUST contain information on your ability to read, write, speak and listen to English.

Where the course application form asks about funding, enter that you wish to be considered for a scholarship for full or part funding from the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission.
