This month we have several important announcements:
Board Elections: We received 17 nominations by members from around the world. Later this month, the Board will be electing 6 individuals to fill the available positions. New directors will be announced in our March Newsletter. Many thanks to all those who participated in this nomination process and for your interest in joining IAHPC.
Traveling Scholarships: As we recently announced, IAHPC will provide ten scholarships to help individuals from developing countries cover their cost of travel and stay for the 12 th Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) in Lisbon, Portugal May 18-21, 2011. This edition includes the announcement, criteria and instructions to apply.
AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly in Vancouver: We are happy to announce that the IAHPC will be offering a special promotional discount for participants who want to join IAHPC as members during the AAHPM/HPNA Assembly in Vancouver, February 16-19, 2011. We need your help to spread the word!
IAHPC will be offering to participants of this Assembly a one year membership at half the regular price of $50 for the first year of membership for individuals living in High resource countries as defined by the World Bank. Individuals attending the meeting from other countries may also apply for a 50% discount based on a sliding scale.
If you are planning on attending, please help us promote this great opportunity. There are ways you can help:
• Stop by our booth and help us distribute fliers during the exhibit hours
• Invite your friends to join IAHPC!
• Share this email with your colleagues and ask them to spread the word.
