Dr. Gayatri Palat

Dr. Gayatri Palat

 

Dr. Gayatri Palat is the Program Director for PAX India of the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR). She is currently Associate Professor of the Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine in the MNJ Institute of Oncology in Hyderabad.

Previously she held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Palliative Medicine at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, as part of ‘Faculty Development Program’ of International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) and of Senior Registrar at Pain and Palliative Care Society, Calicut, a WHO Demonstration Project.

She is one of the advisors and faculty for Education in Palliative and End of Life Care(EPEC)- India and National Faculty for Indian Association of Palliative Care. Dr. Palat is also in the advisory committee of palliative care for National Cancer Control Program, India.

She is a member of a mission of International Atomic Energy Agency to Colombo, to facilitate the development of palliative care.
Dr. Palat holds a degree of Diploma in Anesthesiology and Diplomate of National Board in Anesthesiology, India.
