Faith Mwangi-Powell, PhD

Faith Mwangi-Powell, PhD (Uganda). Dr. Mwangi-Powell is currently the Director of the African Palliative Care Association. She has extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and palliative care and her past and current work activities include working in advocacy issues, and coordinating funding and support to programs in Asia and Africa for the development of palliative care in the continent. She earned her doctoral degree at the University of Exeter on the Impact of economic development upon women’s status and fertility-related behavior in rural Kenya. In addition, she holds a Certificate in health and social services management from Sheffield Hallam University and a Masters in Economic Population Policies and Programs from the University of Wales, in Cardiff.
