Purpose
The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) will give one annual recognition award in the amount of US$2,000 (two thousand US Dollars) to a University that has implemented palliative care in its curriculum as part of the undergraduate or post-graduate education of its medical or nursing students. The award is directed towards both public and private nonprofit universities and has the goal of strengthening palliative care education for health care professionals by highlighting successful initiatives.
Objective
To support the development of models of teaching palliative care throughout the world.
How to apply
The application should be double spaced and submitted in English. The application and proposal are not to exceed ten pages in letter size.
It includes:
A description of the educational program or curriculum. The application should be focused to answer:
A brief description of the program;
The unit geographical area and target population;
Qualifications of the professors and teachers in charge
Applications received before December 31st.
Applications received after this date will be considered for the following year.
